Dana has been professionally tutoring students for more than four years in subjects including the SAT, ACT, mathematics up to Calc 3, and English.
Dana graduated from Harvey Mudd College with a degree in mathematics and a minor in literature. She moved to San Diego and worked as a consultant for three years before turning full time to tutoring.
In her free time, Dana enjoys gardening and playing tennis, as well as spending time at the beach.
Sonya first began working with college students while completing her Bachelors degree at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. During her time as a Resident Assistant she immediately saw the need and value of peer-to-peer connection and guidance and has followed a path to pursue that passion ever since.
Sonya has worked in higher education institutions since 2005 including the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Delaware County Community College, Duke University, the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of San Diego. Additionally, Sonya completed her Masters of Education in Student Affairs from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2011.
Having worked in a variety of institution types, and different departments within those institutions, Sonya has both a broad and deep understanding of the scope of experiences and academic demands encompassed in higher education institutions. As a Division 1 soccer player, her experience spans working with student athletes as well as completing the application process as one herself.
Sonya recently returned to the USA after working as a teacher for a year and a half in Barcelona, Spain. Though travel continues to hold a special place in Sonya’s heart, she is happy to be home with family and friends. In her free time Sonya loves to create art, read, and enjoy the outdoors.

Liz has been fine tuning the written word professionally for more than 10 years as an editor, and she has worked with dozens of college and graduate school applicants on their admissions essays.
A Massachusetts native, Liz graduated from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore with a degree in writing and earned a masters degree in journalism from Northwestern’s Medill School before moving to San Diego in 2012.
A self-proclaimed “foodie,” Liz enjoys exploring the burgeoning Southern California food scene in addition to crafting her own at-home edible creations.
Originally from Wisconsin, Ryan Fisher graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Economics and History, and a minor in Political Science. Since that time he has been lucky to call many places home. Among those he found the most interesting are Nashville TN, Austin TX, Hawaii, and Shenzhen, China.
Ryan has over 3.5 years of experience in test preparation instruction, in both classroom and 1 on 1 settings. He also has extensive experience with the entire college application process and is excited to share this experience in North County, San Diego, with future applicants and their families.
When not pondering the best collegiate fits for his students, Ryan enjoys finding experiences through travel and sports. He is also sure to be looking for new books, the reading of which will inspire future journeys.
