What to Bring on Test Day

With upcoming test dates for both the SAT and the ACT, you may be wondering what you should bring with you. Below is our suggested list of what to bring (and a few things to leave at home). We recommend you set all of these out two nights before in case you need to run to the store to pick up any additional items!

Pack

  1. Your test ticket (with photo uploaded).

  2. Your identification card.

  3. At least 5 sharpened non-mechanical pencils.

  4. Your approved calculator.

    1. SAT Approved List.

    2. ACT Approved List.

  5. A silent watch. If you know it beeps, Google the manual to determine how to silence it. If you want to borrow an ACT watch from us, let us know at least a week before your session.

  6. Water.

  7. Snacks - preferably filling and healthy + one “treat” as a reward.

  8. Two masks. All test centers are requiring them still, and it will be distracting if your only mask breaks on test day!

  9. Directions to the center and home from the center.

Do not pack

  1. Your cell phone. Even pulling it out to check the time will result in disqualification!

  2. Highlighters, pens, or mechanical pencils, as they are all not allowed.

And last of all, do not forget to rest the night before, breathe on test day, and use this test as an opportunity to demonstrate all the work you’ve put in. You’ve got this!
